TONBRIDGE LIONS CLUB

SERVING THE  TONBRIDGE AREA FOR OVER 58 YEARS

Lion President, John Cox, welcomes you to the web site of

Tonbridge Lions Club

The new President of the Tonbridge Lions Club is Mr John Cox seen here with his wife Irene with whom he moved from South London to Tonbridge in 1976. They have four children: Matthew, Timothy James and Rebecca, and one grandchild, Thomas. Mr Cox said that he was proud to assume stewardship of such a friendly and thriving Club that had been serving the local community for almost sixty years. It was encouraging that that the membership was currently being refreshed by a steady flow of new members and he looked forward to another year fulfilling appropriate needs in Tonbridge and adjacent villages.

Tonbridge Lions was the first Lions Club to be founded  in the UK in 1949 and is one of the largest Clubs in the Country.  Each month we hold one Business Meeting and one Dinner Meeting. There are many other club social events throughout the year.

If you wish to join the club or become a Friend of Tonbridge Lions, giving time to help your local community and to meet new friends, please contact:
