Tonbridge Lions Classic Car Tour
Sunday 16th July 2017
Tonbridge Lions Club is holding its fourth Classic Car Tour on Sunday 16th July 2017. But the line up makes it sound like a big cats’ convention! Seven Jaguars, two Panthers, a Lynx, a Tiger and, of course, whole pride of Tonbridge Lions! Other, non-feline car names, such as Lagonda, Austin Healey and Morris Minor will feature too.
The 51 vehicles will assemble in the Upper Castle Field Car Park, Tonbridge, early on Sunday and will leave at one minute intervals from 9.30am. The route gives an opportunity for the owners of the classic cars to tour through the picturesque lanes and villages of Kent and Sussex.
After lunch at Barnsgate Manor near Uckfield the cars will wind their way back to Tonbridge and will re-gather at the Upper Castle Field Car Park from around 3.30pm where the drivers and their passengers will enjoy a well-earned afternoon cream tea.
Visitors are welcome to come along and view the vehicles which will be in a coned-off area of the car park. Tonbridge Lions wish to thank Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council for their co-operation in helping to provide the town with yet another spectacular event. Thanks also to the major sponsors of the tour – Warners Solicitors, Hadlow Stair Garage and Martin & Co.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to local charities and good causes.
