MARSHALL & RUNNER SAFETY
We have implemented a traffic plan after careful considering the impact on the runners, officials and general public. Competitors MUST at all times obey the Highway Code asnd the rules of the road. Please abide by the directions of the marshalls and Police officers around the course, but understand that marshalls can only advise motorists and do not have any powers to stop the traffic, so please exercise reasonable road sense and caution when running on and crossing roads. When running on the road please remain on the left hand side unless directed otherwise. The wearing of any headphones or any type of personal sound system is particularly discouraged as the wearer is less able to respond to either instructions or external threats , thus threatening their own safety and that of other road users.
